The Enchanted April

Yes, here we are, the final part of this story - although there may be an epilogue if anyone is interested in one. It's been wonderful to write this story, despite what's been going on in my own personal life, and I have to say that the support of my readers has been a huge comfort to me.

As far as my own fertility goes, this last cycle was unfortunately another failure, and so now I will be going through IVF. It's been a bumpy road, emotionally, and I'm trying to be positive now without getting my hopes up too much.

Okay, now on to what you came here for!

Okay, I lied. There's going to be one more chapter after this one. I just couldn't put anything more in here, and I think the birth deserves its own chapter. Oops, did I just give away the ending? You know, because there's always the possibility that the baby could just stay in there forever. Haha.

Thanks SO much for the comments on the last part and for the good thoughts and wishes as well. I had another IUI (intra-uterine insemination) today, and it went well, so I'm hoping for the best, but at the same time, trying not to get my hopes up too much.

Getting towards the end of this finally! I believe there will be one more part after this one (9B) and then an epilogue.

On a more personal note, my last try at pregnancy did not work, and this month I have been giving myself hormone injections in preparation for one more shot at a more natural method before going to IVF. It's been a very stressful time, but MrApril has been wonderful and I am so thankful for all of my LJ friends as well.

However, I think that I will be writing more personal friends-locked posts, and so I wanted to let people know that, and let them know that if you would like me to friend you so that you can read them, just comment and I'll do so. Up until now, I've friended very few people because I've had so few locked posts! Naturally all of my fics will remain open to all, so you don't have to worry about me friending you unless you also want to keep up with my personal life - mainly my journey towards pregnancy.

Now, on to the story. As always, comments and criticism and advice are all welcome!

I think that the rest of this story will come out much faster (not that there's much left) so you should all be happy about the quick updates. I'll also keep you all updated on the pregnancy front!

First of all, thank you all for your kind comments and well-wishes. You make me blush and you make me smile. Knowing you're all thinking good thoughts for me and MrApril, is a wonderful feeling.

Now, on to this part... oh, and I apologize for having A and B parts, but in case you hadn't guessed, I'm trying to wrap this up in nine parts total (get it, nine parts, nine months of pregnancy) plus a possible epilogue, but I don't want to go so long between giving you guys something to read!

I don't know how many times I can apologize for the time between postings, but here I am doing it again. These last few months have been emotional ones for me as my husband and I try different medical procedures to get pregnant. It's definitely led to some sporadic writing on my part! Because of my earlier surgery, my doctor has been very proactive, and everyone in my life is very supportive, but it is still a frustrating disappointment each month when the pregnancy test reads "negative". We're trying a new routine of medication, ultrasound and IUI this month, and any positive prayers or thoughts would be very appreciated. We have an appointment with an IVF clinic next week, but oh how I would like to avoid having to go through in vitro!
